IR Quality Notes
This 135mm lenses IR score is almost perfect. It's also almost identical to that of its slower f/3.5 brother. Both start from an almost perfect score (wide open), holding it for three stops and then dipping a couple of points by the minimum aperture. Since this lens starts wider the score drops by the time the main score is registered (at f/8). Although it appears that the f/3.5 nudges the win here I would argue it's actually the other way around in real world terms. This f/2.5 version's score doesn't drop as much fully stopped down, but this is all splitting hairs. In reality both lenses are absolutely stunning IR performers - among the best of the very best.
