Hotspot Performance Notes
If you've taken the time to read this far you'll probably be glad that you did, because this lenses IR performance varies greatly. It may perform rather poorly stopped down, but at f/2.8 and wider it's actually very good, so don't let the overall score put you off. If you're looking for shallow depth of field, this lens is great for IR. If you do stop it down to increase sharpness I recommend sticking to f/5.6, which is still above an 8/10 and that is where this lens is the sharpest anyway.
